Recursos financieros como mediadores de la relación actitud–conducta de ahorro en universitarias peruanas
Resumen
Introducción: El acceso a recursos informativos sobre educación financiera desempeña actualmente un rol esencial en la formación de hábitos de ahorro, enmarcándose en la Teoría del Comportamiento Planificado. Objetivo: Este estudio se propone a evaluar el impacto del acceso a recursos financieros y la educación financiera en la conducta de ahorro de mujeres universitarias en Lima, Perú. Métodos: Se trabajó con una muestra representativa de 512 estudiantes de una universidad privada, bajo un enfoque cuantitativo no experimental y transversal, empleando Modelos de Ecuaciones Estructurales Parciales (PLS-SEM). Resultados: Se evidenciaron relaciones significativas entre el acceso a recursos financieros, el comportamiento de ahorro y la capacidad de gestión financiera. Se demostró que la educación financiera, por sí sola, no garantiza un comportamiento positivo hacia el ahorro, por el contrario requiere la disponibilidad de recursos financieros y actitudes favorables hacia la gestión económica. Conclusiones: Estos hallazgos refuerzan la necesidad de implementar programas de educación financiera diseñados específicamente para mujeres universitarias, que además de transmitir conocimientos, fortalezcan competencias prácticas y promuevan una cultura de ahorro sostenible con impacto directo en su bienestar financiero personal y futuro profesional.
